Blog moving woes
So, I’m in the process of moving my blog here from another site. Which would ordinarily not be a huge pain, except that my existing blog host offers no export feature at all. Of course, Wordpress is very handy with stuff like importing from RSS and all, which I’m trying to do, but my previous host requires an upgrade fee to get more than 10 truncated entries (which means importing only 10 partial entries at a time and then pasting in the rest by hand, or just cut-pasting all 700+ entries one at a time).

So, I’ve sprung for the cheapest upgrade I could swing (a few bucks for a month’s worth) and this princely sum will supposedly fetch me 20 full-length entries in my RSS feed, which will speed things up considerably. I’ll still have to go back and re-link all my links by hand (sweet - the new expanded RSS has linky and everything!), as well as copy-pasting my comments (yeah, well, you can’t win them all). But at least I’ll be able to double my import bundles and avoid post amputation. We shall see.
